Usually, ship within 1-2 weeks after confirmation of the payment, and the delivery times will depend on the shipping address. Delivery dates are estimated. It can be impacted by transport delays, weather conditions, high volume, labor shortages, and supply limits.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number after your package leaves our warehouse. The expected delivery date will be available on the courier tracking page.

Delivery Times affected by COVID-19:

Because of reduced staff and increased order volumes and other factors due to the Covid -19 Pandemic, many couriers may experience delays in shipment processing and delivery time.  We will work hard and try to do our best to make sure you receive your package(s) on time.

Shipping Method

vBike Canada, FedEx, and UPS are our main couriers for ground shipping service. In some areas, we may ship with different couriers. Signatures are required on delivery. Your vBike will arrive at your address fully assembled. All you’ll need to do is unpack and make sure everything is tight. If you have any questions, do not worry, vBike team members are always available to assist you by phone, video chat, or email.

Shipping Cost:

Electric bikes shipped to all provinces in Canada qualify for free shipping. Other items that are included in the same order will be qualified for free shipping as well.

We currently do not ship to Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut

Order Cancellation

Unshipped orders: Can be canceled 3 business days prior to shipment. Deduction of a 5% processing fee will be applied.

Return Policy is applied for 14 days (No returns after 14 days of receiving).

The box must be unopened and completely sealed.

A 15% restocking fee may be applied.

The original shipping fee vBike Canada incurred to send the bike to you will not be refunded (even when ‘free’ shipping is advertised). Customer pays to ship both ways.

Opened package:

The product must be unused, free from dirt, dust, or any fragrances, and in the same packaging and condition that you received it. If the packing has been lost or discarded, it is the customer’s responsibility to purchase bike appropriate packaging. vBike Canada reserves the right to refuse the package if the bike is not returned in its original packaging or properly protected.

A 25% restocking fee may be applied.

The original shipping fee vBike Canada incurred to send the bike to you will not be refunded (even when ‘free’ shipping is advertised). Customer pays to ship both ways.

Used products:

No returns except in cases of extreme damage or major defects.

Defective Product:

 If the product is defective, please inform us immediately upon receiving the package and we will arrange for necessary repairs and if the product is deemed unrepairable or if it is necessary in some cases, replacement of the product will be applied.  All the costs of shipment and repair will be covered by vBike Canada.

If you observe a defect, do not use the product. If the customer uses the product after observing the defect, the exchange or return policy is not applicable.

Claims Process

For replacing any covered component under this warranty, first of all, vBike Canada needs to see the photos or video of the damaged covered component.

In order to exercise your right to receive a replacement for a damaged Covered Component under this Warranty:

The vBike Technical Support team will initially work with you via telephone, videocall, or email on the problem with your ebike to fix it.

If the vBike Technical Support team determines that a Covered Component must be replaced, they will provide you with a set of instructions to return the defective Covered Component and receive the replacement.

After you receive the replacement Covered Component, the Technical Support team will also provide assistance in determining how to replace or install the new Covered Component into your ebike.

Return Process

Before a return is sent you must receive an approval letter from vBike Canada. You are required to return the product in the same package and condition it was received in. The product is subject to inspection upon delivery. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If you are approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a reasonable number of days. A restocking fee may be applied.

If the item is deemed to be unsellable, damaged, unclean, or not in its original condition and is packed incorrectly, the return will be rejected and the customer has to take the product back at their own expense.

If the bike has been in your possession for more than14 days or has been ridden it will not be eligible for return.

Warranty

Always keep a record of your serial number (Frame No.) upon receiving your bike because it could be needed in the future. This warranty only applies to the original owner of a vBike electric bike and under no circumstances shall the Limited Warranty apply to any subsequent owner or another transferee of the ebike. vBike should be operated in accordance with the vBike Owner Manual. vBike warrants to the original registered purchaser that vBike shall be free from all defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment or 5,000km Whichever Comes First, Limited Warranty, when used for the purpose intended. All other obligations and conditions or liabilities, including obligations for consequential damages, are hereby excluded. Shipping charges are not refundable. This warranty gives you specific rights and purchasers may also have other rights, which vary by province, state, and country.

VBIKES LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Parts covered by the warranty:

Frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, Seatpost, lights, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware.  The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance, or another such misuse, normal wear, or water damage.

Shipping damage:

Upon receiving your order, please inspect the package. If you notice any damage to the package, please provide photos or video prior to opening. Shipping damage must be reported to vBike in 24 hours after you received your vBike via email to support@vbike.ca.

vBike will replace any parts supposed to have been damaged through shipping. 

Replacement parts will be sent after the photographed proof has been provided to vBike. vBike may request additional proof such as video and photography to best assist with the processing of the warranty claim.

Out of the box defect

vBike guarantees that you will receive a working and functional vBike. If in the unexpected event your vBike is damaged or does not function correctly, vBike will cover the costs associated with the repairs to get your bike operational. 

vBike needs your supporting evidence such as photos or videos. Claims for out-of-the-box defects must be reported within 2 weeks of receiving the vBike and with no more than 5 Kilometers distance of use.

Any claims regarding the out-of-the-box defects after mentioned time or distance will not be subject to out-of-the-box box defects. However, this does not affect the validity of the 12-month warranty or 5,000km Whichever Comes First.

vBike only covers costs of repairs performed in shops or by certified mechanics approved by vBike Canada. Any repairs performed elsewhere will not be covered.

Warranty Exclusions:

The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance, overheating, freezing, or another such misuse, normal wear, or water damage.

Any changes in default programs (Factory settings) of LCD display may void the warranty.

Liability for material defects does not cover normal wear and tear, salt damage, and corrosion.

Wear Items including the chain, tires, wheels, tubes, brake pads, cables, and housing, grips, spokes, lights are considered a wear items. The battery, motor system, braking system, drivetrain system, and seat are all subject to intended use-related wear and are not covered by warranty. You are responsible for replacing these worn items.

Damage resulting from salt or corrosion.

Damage resulting from using or adding non-standard equipment, parts, or modifications.

Damage resulting from improper tools or improper maintenance performed on the ebike. Any unauthorized alterations, tampering, or repairs are not covered by this warranty.

Warranty return shipping is the responsibility of the original registered purchaser. We may elect to replace the battery charger or other under warranty items with the same model or similar model.

For warranty services, please contact vBike at support@vbike.ca. Parts returned without proper documentation may be delayed service or denied warranty coverage.  Warranty return shipping costs, duty, and taxes are the responsibility of the claimant. All unauthorized returns will be refused. Proof of purchase is required with any warranty request.

Note that Insurance policies may not provide coverage for accidents involving vBike electric bikes. To determine if coverage is provided, you should contact your insurance company or agent. vBike serves the right to change its warranty at any time. Warranty Notes

This warranty does not cover any damage or defects as a result of failure to follow instructions in the owner’s manual, acts of God, accidents, neglect, misuse, abuse, commercial use, wear and tear, water damage, salt damage, and corrosion, alterations, modification, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the ebike as sold, operator mistakes, excessive riding, stunt riding or improper follow-up maintenance. This warranty does not include normal wear and tear or parts that will wear down over time after consumption, such as tires, tubes, brake pad, handlebar grips, cables, housing, and spokes.

vBike will not be liable and/or responsible for any damage, failure, or loss caused by any unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts. In no event, vBike is responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products. All claims to this warranty must be made through MAPTEC(vBike Canada).

Street Legality

Under Canadian regulations, e-bikes sold by MAPTEC Inc. (vBike) in Canada are street legal. Under Canadian regulations, electric bicycles with a motor output of 500 watts are street legal.

All vBike models are Class 2 electric bikes and are delivered with Speed limit and Power limited for on-road legal use. Riders may unlock the speed limit on the display for off-road use. MAPTEC Inc. (vBike) will not be held liable for riders that ride illegally configured bikes on-road.

Legal Requirements

Electric bicycles are regulated in Canada but regulations vary depending on your country/state/province/city. It is the rider’s responsibility to stay informed of local laws and obey them. You may contact your local authorities, electrical bicycle shops, or bicycle associations to obtain more information on legal requirements.

You are required to be 16 or more, wear a helmet for your own safety, and use front and rear lights for increased visibility, especially after sunset. All vBike models are Class 2 electric bikes and are delivered with Speed limit and Power limited for on-road legal use. You must check your local regulation to ensure that you are riding legally and safely. These laws may specify the need for mandatory equipment, use of hand signals, and where you can ride.

Liability Disclaimer

Riding any kind of ebike comes along with some risks which can’t be predicted or avoided. By choosing to ride an ebike, you assume the responsibility for that risk. Taking proper care of ebike components can lower the risk of sudden failure of components but cannot prevent it. These sudden failures could cause serious harm, injury, or death to the rider. If you notice abnormalities in any component on the ebike, please take it to a licensed mechanic to be repaired or replaced immediately. You are responsible for your own actions while using an electric bike. MAPTEC Inc. (vBike) is not responsible/nor liable for any accidents or injuries or death (whether caused by you or others) that may occur during your use. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine if your current insurance policy would cover you in the event of an accident.
